Hondo MIK Lawsuit Era Single Cutaway Electric Guitar (1970s, Cherry)

Hondo MIK Lawsuit Era Single Cutaway Electric Guitar (1970s, Cherry)

1 in stock

Imagine a guitar from a time not so long ago, a guitar created in a less litigious time…for your consideration, an “LP” copy from the Lawsuit Era.  This one was made in Korea and carries the Hondo headstock name.

This thing plays great. The pickups have a really fat tone to them, the bridge pickup sounds more like a P-90 than a humbucker, somewhere in between, and the neck has a really classic fat PAF neck pos. sound to it.

The action is low and comfortable. There are a good few scratches and dings, but nothing too serious, and overall it just adds to the character of the guitar. The “relic” of this thing is simply to die for. Overall, this thing just OOZES mojo. It really has an attractive looking patina to it, and it plays like a dream. The guitar is hefty, but not a back breaker for being solid mahogany.

As always, I cleaned it up, polished the finish, oiled the board, changed the strings, cleaned the electronic components and set the action low and smooth. This guitar comes with no case or gig bag, but I pack my guitars tight and insure every package for the full purchase amount.

If you want a vintage LP and you are a little apprehensive about taking out that second mortgage, this is the exact guitar for you.

Got questions? Shoot me a message, I love nerding out with other gearheads!
