Hondo “The HONJO” Five String Banjo (80s/90s. Natural)

Hondo “The HONJO” Five String Banjo (80s/90s. Natural)

Here for sale is a Hondo banjo w/ case and accessories.

As you might notice, my store is called “Jack’s Guitarcheology” and not “Jack’s Banjocheology,” mainly because it doesn’t make any sense, but also because I am WAY out of my wheel house on this one. I know next to nothing about most folk instruments, and I know about four chords on the banjo. A dear friend of mine is moving to Hawaii and I need to help him unload his massive collection of musical instruments, so I am consigning this one.

What I can tell about this banjo based on my guitar tech and luthiery experience is that this is a fairly decent entry level banjo. I have had dozens of Hondo guitars. In my opinion, I have always found them to be highly underrated.

The head is a Remo USA, fairly new. The back, sides and neck are a stunning Mahogany. It has a nice case and a brown Levy’s strap. Solid ‘Jo at a solid price. I am consigning this for a friend, and like all my consignments, this item is being sold “as described” regardless of condition. Absolutely no returns. (See my shop policies for more information.)
