Consider if you will: a two pickup electric guitar made in Japan in the 1960s. I am pretty sure it was made by Kawai, one manufacturing company for Teisco. There is a chance that is Matsumoku or Guyatone as well. Anyway you slice it, it is one cool vintage piece.
This guitar plays amazingly. Such a chimey and clear guitar tone. The body is solid mahogany and the neck is also mahogany with a rosewood board. The action is suuuuper low and comfortable. The pickups really sound like any garage players dream.
Not much to say about this one, it plays as sweet as it looks. As always, I cleaned it up, polished the finish, oiled the board, flushed the electronics, changed the strings and set the action as low as I could. This guitar has a period correct gig bag that is in okay condition.
For all of your garage rock, indie, surf and general rock ‘n roll needs!
