Description
One of the best playing S-Styles you have ever played guaranteed.
As many of you know, and a lot of you don’t, Mario Guitars is my alma mater in a way. It is where I cut my teeth and learned all I know about the boutique and modern gear markets. Coincidentally, I also believe that Mario Martin, and his team (Shout out: Tim, Shannon, Ryan, James, Colin, Cade, Rex, and the boys) are some of the most talented luthiers on the planet. I have yet to play a modern boutique F-Style vintage recreation that comes anywhere close to the caliber of work and attention to detail as the Mario Guitars line.
(Plus I recently just bought myself yet ANOTHER Mario…you could say I am a fan)
So, for all of these reasons, it is with great honor that I can now call myself a licensed Mario Guitars dealer.
This is a used selection from Mario’s team, but it has been completely re-set up and reauthenticated by Mario himself.
I actually took the order for this one in my time at Guitar Mill / Mario Guitars. I remember it well, it originally had a scalloped neck on it. I remember loving the guitar but hating the scallop, so when it popped up on Reverb a couple months ago at a solid price, I thought it was a good time to get this guitar set right.
I took it to Mario and purchased a new neck. Had him finish it, attach it, relic to match and re-intonate, etc. Now it is incredible. A really amazing player.
NOTABLE SPECS:
- Alder Body
- Charcoal Frost Nitro Cold Check Lacquer
- Inca Silver Racing Stripe, inspired by the John Mayer Signature.
- Roasted Maple neck with a Madagascar Rosewood fretboard
- Chunky C Neck Profile
- Lindy Fralin Vintage Hot Pickups
- Wilkinson Tremolo System

This guitar, again, was set up and reauthenticated at the factory. The only “damage” to speak of is a small spot near the jack that someone touched up with touch up paint (see pics for full details)
Got questions? Shoot me a message, I love nerding out with other gearheads!
