Description
Don’t fret!
Here for sale is an MIJ Hohner, made by Matsumoku in Japan circa 1978-1982. These are SOLID basses, made to stand the test of time. The pickups sound huge and full and the large brass bridge give this bass a deep, full tone.
Someone (not me) ripped out the frets and filled the board. It is not the woooorst de-fret job I have ever seen, but it is certainly not setting the gold standard for luthiery. It plays smooth, though. I had a lot of fun doing some “boiiiiiiingy” slides and smooth drips.
As always, I cleaned it up, polished the finish, flushed the electronics, changed the strings and set the action low and smooth. This guitar comes with its original hardshell case, and I pack my guitars up tight and insure every package for the full purchase amount.
Got questions? Shoot me a message, I love nerding out with other gearheads!
