Session Pro “Jobless / Jack Torrance” Dinky Shredder Bass Guitar (1980s, Turquoise Granite)

Session Pro “Jobless / Jack Torrance” Dinky Shredder Bass Guitar (1980s, Turquoise Granite)

Here for sale is a shredder bass from Session Pro that has been customized. Someone sprayed it with Turquoise colored rock paint, but left the huge “Jobless Anti-Work Wear” sticker featuring Jack Nicholson from The Shining. It is pretty sick looking.

I suspect this bass was made in either Japan or Korea, I am almost certain. I have researched, but found very little about this model. The research has me leaning towards Japan, though, as other Session Pros I found were marked Japan as well. I am pretty sure it was either made by Matsumoku, or else Samick in Korea.

The body resembles a Jackson, Kramer or Ibanez shredder guitar from the 80s. Really cool aesthetic and the body, neck and finish are all in amazing shape. The original finish was white, and you can see it underneath the rock paint in chips in the paint, give it a cool relic look. The pickups are HOT. Classic P/J tone. The rear control plate is my first attempt at making one from scratch, as the original was missing. It isn’t perfect, but it works. (See pics for full details.)

This is a SOLID little bass. Would be great or punk or metal; looks and sounds like a metal bassists’ dream. As always, I changed the strings, oiled the board, cleaned the electronics, polished the finish and tweaked the set up.
This bass comes with no case or gig bag, but I insure all of my guitars for the full purchase amount.

Got questions? Shoot me a message, I love nerding out with other gear heads!
