Mojo for daaaaayyyyyssssss!
For sale here is a Squier “By Fender” Telecaster made in the 1990s. These Squiers were some of the very few made in Mexico and are regarded to be some of the most well-built Squiers that were ever made.
Functionally, this guitar is great. Everything you want out of a tele. Classic vintage-like tele twang tone. Low action. No real damage or play-ability issues to speak of. The finish is even still clean and shiny in the unstickered parts. The frets are at half life or better. In all honesty, this is one of the best playing little Teles I have ever had.
The original switch was busted, so one of my guys decided to wire it up with the “Bill Lawrence” five way switching — it provides the traditional Tele positions plus an in-series and phase shift position. The shining star and selling point of the guitar is the neck. This is hands down one of the most well-built and best feeling Squier necks I have ever had my mitts on. It feels more like MIJ Fender of the era, rather than MIM Squier.
As always, I cleaned it up, polished the finish, flushed the electronics, changed the strings and set the action low and comfy. This guitar is proudly strung with Stringjoy Custom Guitar Strings, made right here in Nashville, TN. This guitar has a basic gig bag, but I pack my guitars up tight and insure every package for the full sale amount.
