A Classic Beauty!
Here for sale is a Japanese made classical guitar from Takamine. This is an early run Takamine, I suspect it to be from the 1970s — within the first 10-20 years of the now giant acoustic guitar company’s life. It is in pretty good shape with a patina to die for and it plays great. The action is surprisingly low for a guitar of this age without an adjustable truss.
Outside of that, nothing much else to say: it is just a nice little classical even outside of being a fun piece of acoustic guitar history. As always, I cleaned it up, polished the finish, oiled the board, changed the strings and set the action as low and smooth.
As with all of my pre-1980 acoustic guitars, this guitar is being sold “as described” regardless of condition. (See my shop policies for more information.) This guitar comes with no case or gig bag, but I pack my guitars tight and insure every package.
Got questions? Shoot me a message, I love nerding out with other gearheads!
